About the Barclays Cycle Hire Scheme
The Barclays Cycle Hire Scheme launched on 30th July 2010 and is be a public bicycle sharing scheme for short journeys in and around central London. You can pick up a bicycle, use it as you like, then drop it off, ready for the next person.

Bicycles are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Once the scheme becomes open to the full general public in the next few weeks, a booking or membership will not be required.
